Shona Sculptures

The history of Shona sculptures mostly began in Zimbabwe and has expanded through various art exhibits throughout the UK and the United States. The love of the beauty and rarity of the stones have been captured by curators around the world.  It is written that notables Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jackson and even Prince Charles have been collectors of Shona sculptures and Zimbawean art.

Made using traditional carving techniques, simple tools, and generations of experience and artistry in Zimbabwe. These sculptures are carved out of serpentine stone which is then polished with sand and beeswax. Fire is used to bring out the colors and textures in each piece upon completion. Wherever you place these joyful one of a kind sculptures, it is sure to bring peace to your space.
